Joe Biden has become the initial U.S. president in history to exclude God or the Bible in his Thanksgiving Day declaration.
Presidents have been releasing Thanksgiving declarations since 1789 when our first President George Washington issued his on October 3. Throughout the documents since then, God and the Bible played a significant role in the day’s celebration.
But not for Joe Biden.
The most progressive president in U.S. history issued his 2023 declaration on November 22… well, someone in the White House wrote it and released it, anyway… and there was no reference to God at all.

There are references to “loved ones,” mentions of “history,” our key historical eras, our first responders, and the “soul of America.”
But God was somehow left out.
This is not the first time God has been absent from a Biden declaration on a day that all other presidents referred to God.
In 2021, for instance, Biden somehow accidentally forgot to mention God during his National Day of Prayer message.
Surprising, I know.
And last year, he couldn’t seem to find room for a mention of God or the birth of Jesus during his Christmas address.
This is the most deity-lacking president in history.
