Scholar Targets White, Rural Americans as Democracy’s Biggest Danger (Video)

Tom Schaller, an academic from the University of Maryland, has recently made claims that rural white Americans pose a significant threat to the nation. This viewpoint, which is shared by many left-leaning elites in American universities, was documented on Trending Politics.

In an interview with Paul Waldman, a writer for the Washington Post, Schaller promoted their new book which criticizes a large segment of America’s population. The report highlights Schaller’s tirade against rural white voters whom he labels as ‘Christian nationalists’ who reject democracy and engage in ‘election denialism’, among other things.

Schaller cites his book’s claims about a “fourfold interconnected threat” to the nation from white rural voters. He describes them as the most racist, xenophobic, anti-immigrant, anti-gay group in the country. He also accuses them of being conspiracy theorists who support QAnon and deny the reality of COVID and elections.

Interestingly, it is the Democrat Party, Joe Biden, and his political allies who have been attacking free speech rights of citizens for years. They have attempted to establish a “Ministry of Truth” akin to that in George Orwell’s “1984”, which perpetuates lies and has conspired with social media companies to suppress ideas they disagree with.

Schaller further claims that there is a large population of “white nationalists and Christian nationalists” who justify violence as an alternative to peaceful public discussion.
