Once again, the media is on a mission to twist the narrative, this time by misinterpreting a single word uttered by Donald Trump. The term in question is “bloodbath,” which they are manipulating to paint Trump as a harbinger of violence should Biden win the upcoming election.
Before we delve into the deceitful claims made by these media outlets, it’s crucial to clarify that Trump did not predict a “bloodbath” in November if Biden emerges victorious.
During a rally in Dayton, OH, on Saturday, Trump stated: “If you’re listening, President Xi — and you and I are friends — but he understands the way I deal. Those big monster car manufacturing plants that you’re building in Mexico right now, and you think you’re going to get that, you’re not going to hire Americans, and you’re going to sell the cars as now we’re going to put a 100% tariff on every single car that comes across the line, and you’re not going to be able to sell those guys if I get elected. Now, if I don’t get elected, it’s going to be a bloodbath for the whole — That’s going to be the least of it. It’s going to be a bloodbath for the country.”
Trump’s use of “bloodbath” was clearly in an economic context. He was not predicting or inciting violence. He was merely expressing his concern about potential economic downturns under Biden’s leadership. This has nothing whatsoever to do with political violence.
However, media outlets continue their campaign of misinformation by taking this word out of context.
Consider these misleading headlines:
- “Trump predicts ‘bloodbath’ if he loses election and claims ‘Biden beat Obama’: The Guardian.
- “Trump says there will be a ‘bloodbath’ if he loses the election: NBC News.
- “Trump says there will be a ‘bloodbath’ if he isn’t reelected: Today Show.
- “Trump says there will be ‘bloodbath’ if he loses 2024 election, ramps up anti-migrant rhetoric: ABC News.
- “An Even Darker Trump: Warns Of ‘Bloodbath’ If Not Elected: Forbes.
The list goes on, with nearly every mainstream outlet publishing misleading or outright false headlines like these. Each one is attempting to portray Trump as advocating for violence, which is simply not true.
This is a blatant lie. Trump has never advocated for violence.
This is yet another example of how the media distorts the truth to further its left-wing political agenda. This particular story represents an extreme case of media deception, but it’s indicative of their approach to any story that can be used to advance their left-wing narrative.
The media lies. About everything.
Unsurprisingly, far-left Democrats are also capitalizing on these media falsehoods. Democrat Nancy Pelosi, for instance, is exploiting this lie for all it’s worth.
This is the modus operandi of the left-wing establishment: The media fabricates a false narrative, left-wing Democrats respond and capitalize on that lie, and then the media confronts Republicans with loaded “some say” questions.
