Since October 2023, the Yemeni government, under the leadership of Ansarallah or the “Houthis”, has continued to maintain a humanitarian blockade of the Red Sea in solidarity with Gaza. Despite attempts by the Biden administration and their UK counterparts to force Yemen to abandon its mission, the blockade has only intensified. This includes targeting all US and Israeli shipping and even US warships. This is yet another example of how the current Democratic administration’s foreign policy failures are putting American interests at risk.
