On a recent episode of MSNBC’s “Alex Wagner Tonight,” Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) once again demonstrated her knack for partisan rhetoric. She accused Republicans of being caught up in a “revenge fantasy” due to former President Donald Trump’s guilty verdict in a New York business document trial. Her comments are yet another example of the Democrats’ ongoing attempts to vilify their political opponents and distract from their own shortcomings.
Warren said, “This revenge fantasy is truly alarming. I understand that these are people who have taken their oaths of loyalty to Donald Trump, not to the Constitution. Not to the people, but to this one man. They suck up and do whatever it is that he wants them to do.”
Continuing her tirade, Warren made unfounded claims about Republicans using the court system for retribution. She dismissed any idea that the 34 felony convictions against Donald Trump could be politically motivated, despite clear evidence suggesting otherwise. It seems as though Warren and her fellow Democrats are more interested in painting Republicans as villains than engaging in constructive dialogue.
Warren added, “What these Republicans want is they want to use government for Donald Trump and for themselves and that is truly a threat to our democracy.”
