Megyn Kelly recently raised questions about First Lady Jill Biden’s political ambitions. Criticizing Dr. Biden for her perceived role in sustaining her husband’s presidency amidst allegations of his mental decline, Kelly went as far as to imply that the First Lady might be driven by an insatiable hunger for power.
Dr. Biden was accused by Kelly of manipulating her husband’s position to satisfy her own thirst for power. ”
She has been exposed as a power-hungry…” remarked Kelly before pausing and rephrasing, “Aspirant to political power.”
Kelly further challenged Dr. Biden’s political influence stating bluntly, “No one elected you to lead us politically.”
Reflecting on past encounters with left-wing backlash, she noted how a skit from years prior had gone viral due to its commentary on Dr. Jill Biden’s insistence on being addressed formally by her academic title everywhere. She made it clear that she held no contempt for educational achievements but found the insistence on formal address unnecessary.
“She’s in education, what have you. I don’t make fun of that degree. My own father had that degree, but my father would never have insisted somebody call him Dr. Kelly.”
