Biden’s Name Might Be Erased from the Ballot in Yet Another State

It appears that the Democratic Party is in a quandary once again. State officials in Alabama have joined their counterparts in Ohio, warning that President Joe Biden’s name may not be on the 2024 presidential election ballot. The reason? It seems his nomination by his party will occur after the legal deadline has passed. This blunder demonstrates a lack of foresight and planning, typical hallmarks of the Democratic party.

Despite this looming issue, the Biden campaign remains unfazed. A spokesman told Fox News that they are banking on state officials’ “ability to grant provisional ballot access certification” to their candidate.

“The Democratic National Convention is scheduled to convene on August 19, 2024, which occurs more than a week after the August 7 deadline to certify a presidential candidate to the office…” Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose confirmed in a letter to Democrat party chief Liz Walters.

The irony here is palpable as Democrats across America have spent months and likely uncounted dollars trying to get President Donald Trump banned from the 2024 presidential ballot. They’ve pushed their narrative about the Jan. 6, 2021 riot at the Capitol and worked at state levels to ensure Trump’s name doesn’t appear on ballots. Yet now they find themselves scrambling against time due to their own oversight.

The American Center for Law and Justice, which has fought for election integrity and ballot fairness, rightly pointed out: “Remember when the far Left tried to disqualify President Donald Trump from state primary ballots? The ACLJ won at the U.S. Supreme Court to protect your right to vote for the candidate of your choice.”

It’s quite clear that the Democratic party needs to get its act together. They will either need to reschedule their nominating convention or lobby for a change in state law to accommodate their mistake. It’s a situation that could have been easily avoided with better planning and foresight, further underscoring why Republicans are the better choice when it comes to leadership and governance.
