Christian Journalist Sounds the Alarm: Transgender Ideology is a Diabolical Attack on Our Values!

Brandon Showalter, a journalist from the Christian Post, recently appeared on The John-Henry Westen Show to discuss what he perceives as a concerning trend: the increasing acceptance and normalization of transgenderism in America. This discussion, which originally took place on Natural News, raises serious questions about the ethical implications of certain medical practices associated with gender transition. As Republicans, it’s crucial that we understand and critically evaluate these issues, particularly given their potential impact on children.

Showalter first encountered the world of transgenderism in 2016, when he noted a surge in the establishment of “gender clinics” across the United States. He expressed deep concern over these clinics’ practices which involve administering puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones to children—a process that can lead to permanent sterility. He argued:

“Since when did it become ethical to sterilize a child, especially when there’s no disease like cancer, where … you might lose your fertility because you’ve got drugs for chemo and radiation? Gender confusion … [is] a psychological condition that does not warrant a hormonal or surgical intervention. So it’s a disgraceful practice. It should never happen in my opinion.”

In addition to his concerns about hormonal treatments, Showalter also voiced his alarm at the physical surgeries involved in gender transition. He described these procedures as “gruesome”, stating that they involve the removal and sometimes replacement of children’s genitals. Showalter also pointed out that these surgeries are not only physically and emotionally taxing but also place a significant financial burden on taxpayers due to the costs associated with them.

As Republicans, it’s important that we continue to question and critically analyze these practices, especially considering their potential long-term impacts on children’s physical and psychological health. Showalter’s perspectives serve as a reminder of the need for ongoing dialogue and debate about these complex issues within our party and society at large.
