Kevin Costner RIPS Whoopi for Rudely Interrupting Him, Rushing to Commercial

On Monday’s episode of “The View,” actor Kevin Costner chided co-host Whoopi Goldberg for cutting to a commercial break during his interview. The notable Hollywood star was discussing his family life and latest film, “Horizon: An American Saga“, when Goldberg was signaled by the show’s producers to transition to a commercial.

It’s rather ironic that this happened right as Costner was in the middle of discussing the clash of cultures and competing interests between Native Americans and settlers during the expansion of the United States. One can’t help but think about how often liberal media outlets, like ABC, interrupt or redirect conversations that might challenge their narrative or offer a more nuanced perspective on history.

“Take control of this Whoopi, honestly,” Costner said. “Tell those sponsors to stand down, we’re talking!”

This interaction drew laughter from both the audience and panelists, but you can tell he was serious. The program went ahead with the commercial break anyway, completely changing the direction of the conversation.

During his interview, Costner shared emotional moments from his personal life and professional career. He spoke about receiving an 11-minute standing ovation at Cannes Film Festival for “Horizon” with his children present, which was deeply moving for him as a father of seven. Furthermore, he nostalgically discussed past roles in iconic films such as “Field of Dreams.”

In these trying times when political bias seems to seep into every aspect of media, it’s refreshing to see someone like Costner stay focused on the art and craft of storytelling. Despite interruptions from the liberal-leaning co-hosts, he managed to convey his passion for his new project and its historical significance.
