Neil Cavuto, the host of Fox Business, took a bold stand against the misinformation spread by President Joe Biden on Thursday morning.
Biden has been blatantly spreading a falsehood that inflation was at 9% when he took office, while in reality, it was only 1.4% in January 2021.
This distortion of facts was so severe that even the Washington Post couldn’t turn a blind eye and awarded him four Pinocchio’s for his dishonesty.
Cavuto challenged Biden’s Economic Advisor Jared Bernstein about why Biden continues to assert that inflation was at 9% when he assumed office, despite the fact it stood at only 1.4%.
Bernstein attempted to deflect the question by expressing concern for households struggling with prices but Cavuto wasn’t buying it and pressed Bernstein further on this issue.
Bernstein’s attempt to justify Biden’s lie by stating that the factors causing inflation to climb were in place when Biden took office did not hold water. Cavuto rightly pointed out that this wasn’t what Biden said – he claimed that it was already at 9%, a clear misrepresentation of facts.
This incident serves as yet another example of the administration’s willingness to bend the truth to fit their narrative. It is crucial for media figures like Cavuto to continue holding them accountable for their actions.
